I wanted to ramble about Dead Fantasy for a little while, but I just editted my last journal with that, so go check out that section. Watch it, is all I'll say in this journal.

So, in case any of you watchers can't tell by my gallery already, I'm a pixel artist, although I mostly do sprites and smaller dolls. If any of you went to visit me on my 'Charms site, you would also know that I am currently doing a project for Final Fantasy sprites.

For those of you who don't have a 'Charms account, I am a spriter with my own sprite thread there. In this thread, I display almost every sprite I've ever made, showing my tremendous improvement from day one. I also display my ME ONLY, lol, Final Fantasy sprites, in which I sprite and display sprites of Final Fantasy characters for show and critique only.

Now, recently, I went updating all of my sprites and I realized how horrible some of my older sprites are. So, I've decided to redo any of them that I think need to be, well, redone. I've redone some of them already, and I will post them in a deviation shortly.
Last night I decided that I really wanted to redo Terra Branford, Final Fantasy VI's main protagonist, and one of my favorite Final Fantasy characters of all time. So, I used Yoshitaka Amano's (this totally awesome artist who did all of the character designs for FF I - VI, as well as helping with the later games. I love his work, and him for creating such memorable characters. Go look at his work on Creative Uncut, or on the FFCompendium.) artwork of her as a reference last time, but since the images are considerably old, it is difficult to tell what the colors are supposed to be. So, I went on a mad image hunting frenzy on Google images, and saw this absolutely stunning picture. Vibrant, according to Amano's design, and awesome! I clickied it.

Above the picture, there was this caption. "Dissidia: Final Fantasy." OK, what's that?

OMG'd.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh.

Go google it RIGHT NAO if you are a Final Fantasy fan and haven't heard of it yet.
Basically, it's a video game celebrating 20 years of Final Fantasy, and it brings together various memorable characters from each of the Final Fantasy games thus far. OH DEAR LORD!
I am soooooo stoked. It has like, half my favorite characters in it, and I am so interested in the story that could possibly develop around all of the characters converging into this new world together. Super super super excited.

Not to mention the fact that all the artwork I've seen is fantastic, and the majority of them stay true to Amano and Nomura's original character designs. So, I was distracted, and my Terra sprite is put off yet another day.

If you aren't a Final Fantasy fan, then I gotta say, you are missing out on like, the best games ever played. Go play them NOW.
My personal favorites are VI and X as well as X-2, I would say VII only that I haven't played it myself. I am still hunting down the rest of the games to play.
